Tomato paste tube

When kept in the refrigerator, an open can of tomato paste will expire in five days. On the other hand, a tube of tomato paste can survive for 7-8 weeks if the cap is properly put on.

In a clever way, tomato paste may also be frozen, allowing you to store it for up to 6 months in the freezer and just use the exact amount you need when a recipe calls for it.

Small cans of tomato paste are frequently available at supermarket stores in the Italian food or canned goods sections. You’ll discover when you use it in recipes that you don’t actually need much of it because the flavor is so potent.

When stored in the refrigerator after opening, tomato paste can last up to 5 days. Therefore, you’ll have to either throw it out or make tomato-based recipes all week. There is an alternative if, like me, you don’t particularly like either choice.

Tomato paste tube

Purchase tubes of tomato paste rather than cans. Once opened, a can of tomato paste only keeps fresh for five days in the refrigerator. On the other hand, a tube of tomato paste keeps well in the fridge for 7-8 weeks.

You can get some seasoned tomato paste in the grocery store that has basil, oregano, and garlic. Paste should always be plain. You may season it whatever you choose, and it has the purest taste.

To be honest, I think tubes are absolutely worth the money when you take into account that you can preserve tomato paste tubes for far longer lengths of time than cans once they are opened. By preventing food waste, you typically end up saving money.
